Meet Eligibility
Everyone is encouraged to participate in meets!
A Meets (Official NVSL Meets)
A Meets are held on Tuesday evenings and are part of the official NVSL competition schedule. Coaches will determine each diver’s eligibility to participate. Please refer to the required dives listed below.
B Meets (Developmental Meets)
B Meets take place on Thursday evenings and are designed to provide newer and developing divers the opportunity to compete and improve their skills. All divers are welcome to participate in B Meets, regardless of experience level.
A Meet Eligibility
To compete in an A Meet, a diver must be approved by the coach. The coach will assess each diver’s readiness and qualifications and will notify both the diver and their parent of eligibility by the Monday prior to the meet.
Eligibility for A Meets is based on NVSL requirements. A diver’s age group is determined by their age as of June 1.
Freshman (10 & U)
Number of Dives:
- 3 dives (2 required, 1 optional)
Required (in this order):
- 101 Forward Dive (or 001 Front Fall-in)
- 201 Back Dive (or 002 Back Fall-in)
Optional:
- Any dive other than 101, 201, 001, 002
- May select a jump (100, 200)
Junior (11-12)
Number of Dives:
- 4 dives (2 required, 2 optional)
Required (in this order):
- 101
- 201
Optional:
- 2 other dives from different groups, in any order.
Intermediate (13-14)
Number of Dives:
- 5 dives (2 optional, 3 required)
Required (in this order):
- 101
- 201
Optional:
- 3 other dives from different groups, in any order.
- May not have more than 1 optional dive from inward group (400s).
Senior (15-18)
Number of Dives:
- 6 dives (3 optional, 3 required)
Required (in this order):
- 101
- 201
- 401 Inward (401 must be the 3rd dive)
Optional:
- 3 other dives from different groups, in any order.
