Wakefield Chapel Wahoos

Welcome to the Wakefield Chapel Wahoos Dive Team! This summer, the WCRA dive team will compete in NVSL Dive Division 6. We are always looking for new recruits and welcome anyone who would like to give it a try!

We have divers of all skill levels – some who are hesitant to jump off the board and others who are top competitors in the country!! All you need is an interest in the sport, a willingness to learn, and the ability to swim the length of the diving well – it’s all about having fun and developing new skills. 

ALL ARE WELCOME, WHETHER THEY ARE A WCRA MEMBER OR NOT. If your child has a friend who swims at a pool without a dive team, tell them to check us out!

As a reminder, DIVE TEAM PRACTICES DO NOT CONFLICT WITH SWIM TEAM! And while many divers are also on the swim team, you certainly don’t need to be.

To be eligible to participate on the dive team, a child must be between the ages of 4-18 as of June 1, 2024. If a diver is 18 on June 1, the diver may participate the entire dive season. Click here to register now.

Registration fees are:

• $200 for first and second diver
• $175 for third diver
• $150 for fourth diver

This covers participation in all dive activities for the season. New divers who have never been on the team are welcome to participate in a one-week trial, after which time payment is due if your child wishes to continue participating on the team.

While FCPS is still in session, practices will be held Monday through Friday beginning the day after Memorial Day, Tuesday, May 28. Morning practices will begin Thursday, June 13.
