2024 Wahoos Coaching Staff
We are thrilled to welcome Coach Maddie as Head Coach for 2024! She began swimming for Wakefield Chapel at age 5 in 2007 and the Wahoos have been all her summers ever since. She was a Wahoos Lane Coach throughout high school and returned as an Assistant Head Coach while she was in college. She swam collegiately for the University of Virginia, where the team won five ACC titles and four National Championships. She is currently in the UVA School of Education pursuing her Masters. Coach Maddie is excited to continue the long legacy of spirit, success, and community here at the Wahoos. We can't wait to welcome her home to The Chapel this summer!
Victoria will be back again this summer as Lead Assistant Coach for the Wahoos! She joined the Wahoos in 2007 at age 4 and quickly fell in love with the water and the team. She has spent her past two summers as a Wakefield Chapel assistant coach, and the four years prior to that as a Lane Coach. Victoria is a rising senior at Liberty University where she is studying Counseling Psychology and plans on achieving her Masters in Counseling. She is extremely excited to be returning to the pool deck for a summer of spirit, friendship and fun!
We are happy to have Coach Brigid back at the Wahoos this summer as an Assistant Coach. She has swam for the Wahoos since she was four years old in 2009 and has spent every summer on the team since. Brigid was a lane coach all through high school and was also a Winter Wahoos coach. She is currently a rising sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Data and Computer Science. She is also a member of the Virginia Tech Club Swim Team and was a nationals qualifier this past year. Brigid is so excited to be back for another summer of spirit, fun and community here at Wakefield Chapel!
It will be a great summer with Jacob Parker back on the Wahoos coaching staff! Jacob has swam for the Wahoos since he joined the team at 4 years old. He currently goes to Virginia Tech where he is studying Economics. He was a volunteer coach when he was in middle school, and coached the Wahoos for 4 years in high school, while also coaching for our Winter Wahoos. His favorite thing about Wakefield Chapel is the energy and spirit that has been passed down through the team from generation to generation. He is very excited to be an assistant coach and looks forward to making more memories with the team!
