Meet Information
Everyone is encouraged to participate in meets!
A-Meets (official) are held on Tuesday evenings. See eligibility requirements below.
B-Meets (developmental) are held on Thursday evenings.These meets are designed to give new and developing divers a chance to compete and improve their skills. All divers are eligible to participate in B Meets.
A-Meet Eligibility
To dive in an A meet, the coach will have to decide if a diver qualifies and will let your diver and parent know about eligibility and readiness by the Monday before the Tuesday A meet.
The following are the NVSL requirements to qualify for an A Meet (age is determined by the diver's age on June 1):
Freshman (10 & U) Must be able to dive a Forward Dive (or forward line-up), Back Dive (or back line-up) and one additional optional dive (or jump). This optional dive may not be a repeat of the prior dives.
Junior (11-12) Must be able to do a Forward Dive, a Back Dive, and 2 optional dives, each from a different group of dives. Total of 4 dives.
Intermediate (13-14) Must be able to do a Forward Dive, a Back dive, and 3 optional dives, each from a different group of dives. Total of 5 dives.
Senior (15-18) Must be able to do a Forward Dive, a Back dive, an Inward dive, and 3 optional dives, each from a different group of dives. Total of 6 dives.
Just like Swim, Dive Divisionals follow soon at the end of the season and do not conflict with Swim Divisionals or All Stars.
