2024 Wahoo Dive Coaching Staff
We are thrilled to welcome back Coach Sean Binning! This is Sean's third year coaching for the Wahoos. He began diving for Wakefield Chapel in 2014 at the age of 11. After graduating, he dove for Rider University in 2022, becoming a two-time NCAA Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) champion on the one-meter springboard (2022 & 2023) and he received 2022 MAAC Diver of the Year and MAAC Rookie of the Year. Sean transferred to Virginia Tech where he currently majors in Clinical Neuroscience with a minor in Chemistry and Pre-Medicine, and is on the dive team. He plans to attend medical school in the near future. Sean is extremely excited to return to the boards and create long-lasting memories with the team!
Nathaniel Grannis is returning as a Wahoo dive coach for a second year, but he started diving for Wakefield Chapel in 2011 at the age of 4! Nathaniel is a rising senior at Woodson High School, and is the 2024 Virginia Class 6A State champion for dive. He is a 7-time National Team member with Dominion Dive Club and a member of the USA Diving High Performance Squad. After senior year, he plans to attend Purdue University to dive and study kinesiology. Nathaniel is overjoyed to keep working with the team and continue making memories!
